WHOLE LAWN FIRE ANT SERVICE

Control fire ants across the yard, not just the mound you can see.

$150 one time service
One treatment with a one month warranty. Larger lots require a bid.
BUILT AROUND FIRE ANT BIOLOGY

The mound is only the visible part of the colony.

Fire ants live below ground in organized colonies. Treating the whole lawn addresses colonies you can see and colonies that have not produced an obvious mound yet.

Whole lawn coverage

The standalone program is designed for fire ants throughout the treated yard, not only within the house dripline.

Scheduled protection

The recurring program includes one spring treatment and one fall treatment between April and October.

Warranty treatment

If fire ant activity returns during the applicable warranty period, contact Venus for qualifying spot treatment at no additional charge.
WHAT TO EXPECT

How Fire Ant Control works

The goal is colony control across the property, with a simple exterior visit and minimal disruption to your day.
1

Prepare the lawn

Have the lawn recently mowed, turn sprinklers off, put outside pets up, clear outside clutter and keep outside workers away from the treatment area.
2

Treat the whole lawn

We apply the fire ant treatment across the agreed lawn area. A typical standalone visit takes about 20 minutes.
3

Watch the yard

People and pets may reenter the fire ant treatment area immediately after the standalone fire ant service. Contact us if qualifying activity returns during your warranty.
WHY WHOLE LAWN MANAGEMENT MATTERS

New mounds do not always mean the old colony survived.

Warm rain and favorable soil conditions can make existing colonies easier to see. New queens can also arrive from surrounding areas and establish colonies later.
That is why Venus treats fire ants as a changing population across the property rather than chasing one mound at a time.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Fire Ant Control FAQs

The standalone Fire Ant Control program is designed as whole lawn management rather than treatment of only the mound you can see.

No. Fire Ant Control is performed outside. We need access to the agreed lawn area and the preparation steps need to be complete.

A typical standalone fire ant visit takes about 20 minutes.

The recurring program is $110 per service and includes a spring and fall treatment with a five month warranty after each scheduled treatment. One time service is $150 for one treatment and has a one month warranty.

Standard pricing applies to lots up to one quarter acre. Larger lots require a bid.

Yes. HomeGard, HomeGard PLUS, YardGard and TotalGard include whole lawn fire ant protection. Quarterly Pest Control by itself covers fire ants only within the house dripline, not the whole lawn.

No service can prevent every new queen from flying onto a property. Ongoing management can keep fire ant pressure very low within the treated area even though fire ants remain common across the region.
