What TotalGard includes
TotalGard brings the complete protection of HomeGard PLUS together with the seasonal outdoor service of YardGard. Therefore, you receive coordinated service for household pests, rodents, termite monitoring, mosquitoes, fire ants, fleas, and ticks without managing separate plans.
We inspect and treat for covered household pests, including common ants, roaches, and spiders. The plan also includes targeted carpenter ant protection.
Two exterior rodent stations and practical exclusion work help reduce rodent pressure around the structure.
Two TB1 termite monitors stay at the home and are checked during every scheduled visit.
Monthly service from April through October targets likely mosquito resting areas around the yard and exterior.
We manage fire ants across the treated lawn instead of treating only the mounds you can see.
Seasonal lawn applications help interrupt flea development and reduce flea and tick pressure outdoors.
How the schedule works
TotalGard follows pest activity through the year. We combine the appropriate home and outdoor work during each scheduled appointment, so the plan remains thorough without creating an unnecessary visit for every individual service.
The initial payment includes the first scheduled service and setup. We inspect the property, begin covered treatments, complete accessible simple rodent exclusion where appropriate, and install two exterior rodent stations and two termite monitors.
A February visit keeps the household pest, rodent, carpenter ant, fire ant, and termite monitoring portions of the plan active before the main outdoor season begins.
Seven monthly visits provide YardGard service while we complete scheduled home protection, rodent station service, and termite monitor checks during the same appointments.
Protection around the structure
TotalGard includes the full home protection found in HomeGard. We focus on the places pests live and enter, then use targeted treatment based on what we find. Indoor treatment is available when needed for covered pests.
In addition, carpenter ant protection and whole lawn fire ant service extend coverage beyond Quarterly Pest Control. If a covered pest remains active between scheduled visits, contact us for a warranty service at no additional service charge.
However, larger openings that require carpentry are referred for separate repair. Rodents already inside the structure when the plan begins require a separate remediation estimate.
Termite inspection and monitoring
The two TB1 monitors remain at the property so we can check for activity throughout the service year. When termite activity is found inside a monitor, we treat that monitor with fipronil and continue monitoring it during scheduled visits.
However, a structure treatment is priced separately. TotalGard customers receive 25% savings on qualifying TermiteShield spot treatments. Each qualifying spot covers an affected location of less than 10 linear or square feet, and as many qualifying spots as necessary may be treated.
Outdoor protection
The YardGard portion of TotalGard addresses the pests that interfere with time outdoors. Because each pest behaves differently, our technicians adjust the application to the property, the season, and the conditions found during each visit.
We treat likely mosquito resting areas around the yard and exterior. The goal is a substantial reduction in mosquito pressure, since mosquitoes can continually move between properties.
We treat the appropriate lawn area to reduce colonies across the property. Covered fire ant activity qualifies for warranty service.
The April and June lawn applications include an insect growth regulator to help interrupt flea development during the main season.
We treat appropriate vertical tick habitat as well as suitable lawn areas. This gives the application a better chance of reaching the places ticks are likely to wait for a host.
If a flea or tick infestation develops after enrollment, the combined warranty includes any needed treatment inside or outside, provided every pet remains continuously on veterinarian prescribed flea and tick prevention. Active flea or tick infestations present when the plan begins may require separately priced remediation before ongoing protection can be established.
Thoughtful pest management
Good pest control is more than applying a product on a calendar. We inspect, identify pressure, correct practical conditions, and place treatments where they can do the most good. As a result, this approach also helps us avoid unnecessary indoor applications.
A 2002 study of an IPM program in federal buildings found that an inspection based program reduced pesticide use while maintaining or improving pest control. That same practical principle guides how Venus Pest approaches service.
Clear plan boundaries
TotalGard is broad, but it is not a promise that every pest or existing infestation is included. Clear boundaries help us recommend the right work and avoid surprises.
Rodents already inside at enrollment require a separate remediation estimate before the ongoing exterior warranty can begin.
Meanwhile, active infestations at enrollment may require separately priced remediation before seasonal prevention is established.
A structure treatment and a wood destroying insect report are separate services. Qualifying spot treatments receive the plan savings described above.
German cockroaches, bed bugs, wildlife, aphids, grubs, chinch bugs, and armyworms require separate service or an estimate.
Finally, the standard plan is designed for a single family home up to 3,500 square feet on up to one quarter acre. We need access to the treatment areas. Additional charges may apply for larger properties or unusual conditions.

If a qualifying covered pest remains active between scheduled visits, contact our office. We will inspect the concern and provide the appropriate warranty service at no additional service charge. Mosquito service is designed for substantial reduction because mosquitoes continually move between properties. If a flea or tick infestation develops after enrollment, the combined warranty includes any needed treatment inside or outside, provided every pet remains continuously on veterinarian prescribed flea and tick prevention. Exterior rodent warranty terms begin after the initial setup or qualifying remediation is complete. The written service agreement controls the complete terms.
