Home and yard areas protected by the TotalGard Complete Pest Protection Plan

What TotalGard includes

Our most complete pest protection for home and yard

TotalGard brings the complete protection of HomeGard PLUS together with the seasonal outdoor service of YardGard. Therefore, you receive coordinated service for household pests, rodents, termite monitoring, mosquitoes, fire ants, fleas, and ticks without managing separate plans.

R

Exterior rodent protection

Two exterior rodent stations and practical exclusion work help reduce rodent pressure around the structure.

T

Termite inspection and monitoring

Two TB1 termite monitors stay at the home and are checked during every scheduled visit.

Y

Whole lawn fire ants

We manage fire ants across the treated lawn instead of treating only the mounds you can see.

How the schedule works

Eight coordinated visits instead of separate appointments

TotalGard follows pest activity through the year. We combine the appropriate home and outdoor work during each scheduled appointment, so the plan remains thorough without creating an unnecessary visit for every individual service.

1

Begin with a complete setup

The initial payment includes the first scheduled service and setup. We inspect the property, begin covered treatments, complete accessible simple rodent exclusion where appropriate, and install two exterior rodent stations and two termite monitors.

2

Protect the home in February

A February visit keeps the household pest, rodent, carpenter ant, fire ant, and termite monitoring portions of the plan active before the main outdoor season begins.

3

Visit monthly from April through October

Seven monthly visits provide YardGard service while we complete scheduled home protection, rodent station service, and termite monitor checks during the same appointments.

Protection around the structure

Household pests, carpenter ants, fire ants, and rodents

TotalGard includes the full home protection found in HomeGard. We focus on the places pests live and enter, then use targeted treatment based on what we find. Indoor treatment is available when needed for covered pests.

In addition, carpenter ant protection and whole lawn fire ant service extend coverage beyond Quarterly Pest Control. If a covered pest remains active between scheduled visits, contact us for a warranty service at no additional service charge.

Exterior rodent protection includes

  • Two exterior rodenticide stations placed where appropriate
  • Station service at least quarterly and more often when the schedule calls for it
  • Repair of accessible small entry points with appropriate materials
  • Correction of failed entry repairs after breakthrough activity
  • Trapping when qualifying breakthrough activity occurs after protection is established

However, larger openings that require carpentry are referred for separate repair. Rodents already inside the structure when the plan begins require a separate remediation estimate.

Termite monitoring includes

  • Two TB1 termite monitors that remain around the home
  • A monitor check during every scheduled TotalGard visit
  • Fipronil treatment when termite activity is found inside a monitor
  • 25% savings on qualifying TermiteShield spot treatments

Termite inspection and monitoring

Continuous monitors with a clear treatment boundary

The two TB1 monitors remain at the property so we can check for activity throughout the service year. When termite activity is found inside a monitor, we treat that monitor with fipronil and continue monitoring it during scheduled visits.

However, a structure treatment is priced separately. TotalGard customers receive 25% savings on qualifying TermiteShield spot treatments. Each qualifying spot covers an affected location of less than 10 linear or square feet, and as many qualifying spots as necessary may be treated.

Outdoor protection

A more comfortable yard from April through October

The YardGard portion of TotalGard addresses the pests that interfere with time outdoors. Because each pest behaves differently, our technicians adjust the application to the property, the season, and the conditions found during each visit.

M

Mosquito management

We treat likely mosquito resting areas around the yard and exterior. The goal is a substantial reduction in mosquito pressure, since mosquitoes can continually move between properties.

A

Whole lawn fire ant protection

We treat the appropriate lawn area to reduce colonies across the property. Covered fire ant activity qualifies for warranty service.

F

Flea prevention

The April and June lawn applications include an insect growth regulator to help interrupt flea development during the main season.

T

Tick habitat treatment

We treat appropriate vertical tick habitat as well as suitable lawn areas. This gives the application a better chance of reaching the places ticks are likely to wait for a host.

If a flea or tick infestation develops after enrollment, the combined warranty includes any needed treatment inside or outside, provided every pet remains continuously on veterinarian prescribed flea and tick prevention. Active flea or tick infestations present when the plan begins may require separately priced remediation before ongoing protection can be established.

Thoughtful pest management

Inspection comes before application

Good pest control is more than applying a product on a calendar. We inspect, identify pressure, correct practical conditions, and place treatments where they can do the most good. As a result, this approach also helps us avoid unnecessary indoor applications.

A 2002 study of an IPM program in federal buildings found that an inspection based program reduced pesticide use while maintaining or improving pest control. That same practical principle guides how Venus Pest approaches service.

What you can expect

  • A licensed technician who inspects before choosing treatment
  • Exterior focused service with indoor treatment when needed
  • Products selected and applied according to their labels
  • Clear recommendations when sanitation, moisture, access, or repairs affect control
  • Warranty services for qualifying covered pest activity

Clear plan boundaries

What requires a separate service or estimate

TotalGard is broad, but it is not a promise that every pest or existing infestation is included. Clear boundaries help us recommend the right work and avoid surprises.

Existing indoor rodents

Rodents already inside at enrollment require a separate remediation estimate before the ongoing exterior warranty can begin.

Existing flea or tick infestations

Meanwhile, active infestations at enrollment may require separately priced remediation before seasonal prevention is established.

Structure termite treatment and WDIR

A structure treatment and a wood destroying insect report are separate services. Qualifying spot treatments receive the plan savings described above.

Specialty and lawn pests

German cockroaches, bed bugs, wildlife, aphids, grubs, chinch bugs, and armyworms require separate service or an estimate.

Finally, the standard plan is designed for a single family home up to 3,500 square feet on up to one quarter acre. We need access to the treatment areas. Additional charges may apply for larger properties or unusual conditions.

Our service commitment

Coverage that continues between scheduled visits

If a qualifying covered pest remains active between scheduled visits, contact our office. We will inspect the concern and provide the appropriate warranty service at no additional service charge. Mosquito service is designed for substantial reduction because mosquitoes continually move between properties. If a flea or tick infestation develops after enrollment, the combined warranty includes any needed treatment inside or outside, provided every pet remains continuously on veterinarian prescribed flea and tick prevention. Exterior rodent warranty terms begin after the initial setup or qualifying remediation is complete. The written service agreement controls the complete terms.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about the TotalGard plan

What does TotalGard include?

TotalGard combines household pest protection, carpenter ant service, whole lawn fire ant protection, exterior rodent protection, termite inspection and monitoring, seasonal mosquito management, and lawn flea and tick prevention.

How often does Venus Pest visit?

TotalGard includes eight scheduled visits each year. We visit in February, then monthly from April through October. Appropriate home and outdoor services are combined during the same appointments.

Does TotalGard include indoor pest treatment?

Yes. We focus on exterior prevention, but indoor treatment is available when needed for pests covered by the plan. German cockroaches, bed bugs, wildlife, and other specialty pests require separate service.

How does termite monitoring work?

Two TB1 monitors remain around the home and are checked at every scheduled visit. Activity found inside a monitor is treated with fipronil. A structure treatment is separately priced, and qualifying TermiteShield spot treatments receive 25% savings.

What does exterior rodent protection include?

We provide two exterior rodenticide stations, service them at least quarterly, and repair accessible small entry points with appropriate materials. Larger carpentry repairs and rodents already inside at enrollment require a separate estimate.

What is required for flea and tick warranty service?

If a flea or tick infestation develops after enrollment, the combined warranty includes any needed treatment inside or outside, provided every pet remains continuously on veterinarian prescribed flea and tick prevention. Active infestations present when the plan begins may require separately priced remediation before ongoing prevention is established.

Will TotalGard eliminate every mosquito?

No service can stop every mosquito from entering a yard. Our goal is a substantial reduction in mosquito pressure by treating likely resting areas during seven monthly outdoor visits from April through October.

Are there property size limits?

The standard price applies to a single family home up to 3,500 square feet on up to one quarter acre. Additional charges may apply for larger properties, limited access, or unusual conditions.
