OUR APPROACH

Understand the problem.
Choose the right response.

Pest control should solve the problem without doing more than the problem requires. That belief shapes our recommendations, our programs and the way we work with you.

01

Look before treating.

We identify the pest and look at the conditions around it. Entry points, moisture, shelter and the way a building is used can all help explain what’s happening.

02

Make the treatment fit.

We use Integrated Pest Management: combining inspection, prevention, monitoring and treatment where needed. The response depends on the pest and the property.

For product details, browse our product labels and safety data sheets, or ask us about the products listed in your service record.

03

Keep you informed.

We explain the recommended service, any preparation you need to complete and what to expect afterward. Coverage and warranty information belong in that conversation, too.

MEET OUR FOUNDER

A scientist’s curiosity.
A neighbor’s perspective.

Dr. Scott Lingren
Founder & President
Oklahoma State University B.S. · 1993
Louisiana State University M.S. · 1995
Texas A&M University Ph.D. · 1999

Scott’s interest in entomology started in Arizona cotton fields, helping his father’s research team catch moths as a boy.

That early fieldwork grew into degrees in entomology from Oklahoma State, LSU and Texas A&M, followed by research and product development work in agricultural pest management.

After years of travel, Scott wanted his work to benefit people he knew: customers, employees and local businesses. He returned to College Station in 2000 and started Venus the following year, working from home and driving a 1989 Ford Bronco with a magnetic door sign.

He developed Venus’s pest control programs around scientific understanding and practical field experience. Today, that background remains central to how the company looks at pest problems.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND VENUS

Good people make
the difference.

From arranging a visit to working through a pest problem, the experience you have with Venus comes down to the people helping you.

WORKING WITH VENUS

We want service
to feel straightforward.

You should understand what we recommend and why. And you should know who to contact when you have a question.

Recommendations for your property

Different pests and buildings call for different approaches. We help you choose the service that fits what you’re seeing.

Respect for your time and space

Clear communication and practical access arrangements matter, whether you live at the property or manage it for someone else.

Care in how we work

We consider the people, pets and surroundings at each property. Preparation and reentry instructions depend on the service and the products used.

A team you can talk to

Questions are welcome. Tell us what’s changed or what you’re still noticing so we can help you understand the next step.

THIS IS HOME

Part of the community
we serve.

For Scott, joining the Chamber and Rotary brought friendships and the local connection he’d been looking for. That connection is part of why Venus exists.

One example is the Rotary Club of Aggieland’s Thanksgiving basket project, where Scott helped apply pest control routing experience to deliveries. It’s a shared effort that brings people from different organizations together to help local families.

25
YEARS

2001 TO 2026

There’s more to the story.

Family roots in entomology. A Bronco and a magnetic sign. Twenty five years of people, work and community.
