Texas A&M Resource for Texas Pest Identification

I just received an email from the Texas A&M Department of Entomology detailing a resource they have to help County Agents and the public identify insects and spiders.  I checked it out and the pictures he has are definitely among the most common bugs we get questions about.  I’ve copied the email for you below.  Go check the sites out!

Dr. Pat Porter does a lot of insect identification for county agents and the public. To aid these groups he has put together online resources to help. The first is an online gallery of digital photos of commonly encountered insects at http://texashighplainsinsects.net/texas-insects-identified/.  Second is a tool agents and the public can use to submit digital photos to Dr. Porter http://askanentomologist.tamu.edu/insect-id-form/. And third is a pair of PDF files for “large insects” and “common spiders” “http://texashighplainsinsects.net/texas-insects-identified/. Please help Dr. Porter through using and publicizing these great resources.
