Venus Pest Company is great!  We never have any issues, and they are great working around our 2 dogs. They have a little different philosophy then most places, with a little more focus on environmental safety.

I'm so glad I'm seeing all of these positive comments! After a billing debacle with another large pest control company here in town, I chose to switch over to Venus Pest Control.
I spoke with Jennifer this afternoon who was not only sweet (and certainly didn't mind my screaming toddlers in the background!), but set up an appointment that worked perfectly with our schedule.  I hope I'm even more impressed when they come out to do our risk assessment!  4LILMONKEYS 

Scott is a great guy...He has been treating our house since it was under construction 5 years ago and we live out in the sticks near a creek. He's managed to keep our house pretty much pest free for that time and I can vouch for his mosquito spray. It is pretty amazing how well that works. I wanted to post on my experience with Venus pest control after I won the free mosquito treatment.

First of all, I want to say everyone that I spoke with from the company was very friendly. When I called to set up my appointment they didn't have an opening on the day I wanted, but she said she would check if they could fit me in. A few minutes later, she called back and said I was good to go.

The day of the appointment arrived and Dr. Scott from Venus showed up right on time (maybe even a few minutes early). I was already outside trying to finish mowing my yard when he pulled up. He introduced himself and asked to look around. I showed him my yard and he answered many of my questions before he got started. Once again, he was extremely professional and friendly during the entire visit. After he applied the treatment, he answered more of my questions and he was on his way.

It has now been a week and a half since I got the treatment done. So far, it has been as good as he said it would be. That same night I made a point to hang out outside with my son playing ball at the time when the mosquitoes had been bad. I never saw one. For the first week, the treatment is the most effective and I never saw a single mosquito. The treatment should still be effective for three more weeks, but I may see a few every now and then.

Overall, I have been very pleased with the results. I was a little skeptical at first, but it has been great. I would definitely recommend it if you like to be outside but you have mosquitoes. Thanks again to Venus for the free treatment! Check them out and give them a call.  DAKOTAAG01 

+ 2 for the Venus "skeeter squad" treatment. I spent many afternoons/evenings outside last summer bite-free. Usually if there is a mosquito within 1,000 feet I get bit, but not w/ this treatment.  EGRET

Before we started using Venus two months ago, you couldn't walk in our backyard for more than 30 seconds without getting bit. Now, we sit outside and let the kids play for hours on end without a single bite.
Our neighborhood is notorious for mosquitoes. We live only a few hundred yards north of the water treatment plant behind Home Depot.  FCAG 

I was suprised to find out from a friend that Venus will even do pest control in rural areas. A friend of mine has them come out to Iola quarterly. They were charged the same price as I for intown services.  AWESOME12ATM 

In the last year, we moved onto some acreage outside the city. We have yet to make much of a yard and our home is surrounded by tall, wild grass and large yaupon bushes.

Regardless, it is beautiful outside and my wife and I enjoy sitting out on the deck in the evening, watching the kids play and swim.  Like most others in the area, this activity came to a halt a few weeks ago when the mosquitoes moved in. We couldn’t be outside for more than a few minutes without being covered in bites. At first, I did not consider Venus’ mosquito treatment because of rural, wild nature of our property, but them being a sponsor and all, I thought we’d give it a whirl.

It has now been a full week since our treatment and I have yet to see ONE mosquito… not a one. In addition, the treatment took care of a bunch of other flying pests as well (we had these really annoying tiny bugs that liked to fly right up in your face). We are not do for another treatment for another 3 weeks, so I will let you know how it holds up, but as for week one… incredible… easily worth the money.   OOSHWA

They are very pleased with the results, and I have enjoyed being outside at their house.I usually get bit when no one else has even noticed mosquitoes, so I have a very difficult time enjoying outside.
